Ferrari has officially unveiled the all-electric Luce, combining 1,050 horsepower, four electric motors and a completely new vision for the future of Maranello.

Ferrari has finally stepped into the fully electric era but not in the way many people expected. Instead of building a quiet, sterile EV focused only on efficiency numbers, the Italian marque is trying to redefine what an electric performance car should actually feel like. That’s exactly why the new Ferrari Luce may become one of the most important cars in modern Ferrari history.

Unveiled during a special event in Rome, the Ferrari Luce is the brand’s first fully electric production model. However, Ferrari insists this is not simply an electric Ferrari. According to the company, Luce represents an entirely new chapter for Maranello, combining traditional Ferrari emotion with next-generation technology.

Ferrari Luce Produces 1,050 Horsepower

At the core of the Ferrari Luce are four independent electric motors one dedicated to each wheel. Combined output reaches an astonishing 1,050 horsepower, making it one of the most powerful road cars Ferrari has ever produced.

Performance figures are equally dramatic. Ferrari claims:

  • 0-100 km/h in just 2.5 seconds
  • 0-200 km/h in 6.8 seconds
  • Top speed above 310 km/h

But Ferrari says raw acceleration is only part of the story.

The Luce uses an advanced real-time torque management system capable of adjusting suspension, steering response, regenerative braking and power distribution hundreds of times per second. Ferrari engineers claim the goal was not simply maximum grip, but preserving the alive feeling drivers expect from the brand.

A Completely New Ferrari Philosophy

The Luce also introduces a very different design language for Ferrari. The project was reportedly developed with support from LoveFrom the design collective founded by former Apple design chief Sir Jony Ive and Marc Newson.

Compared with traditional Ferrari models, the Luce looks cleaner, lower and more futuristic. Slim lighting elements, huge aerodynamic surfaces and sculpted body panels give the car a distinctive presence without relying on exaggerated styling.

Ferrari also confirms the Luce is one of the most spacious road cars the brand has ever created, offering genuine four-door practicality alongside hypercar-level performance.

Ferrari Wants To Preserve Emotion In The EV Era

Perhaps the most controversial topic surrounding any electric Ferrari is sound. Ferrari knows that the emotional soundtrack has always been part of the driving experience, so the company developed an entirely new acoustic system for the Luce.

Instead of fake speaker-generated engine noise, Ferrari says the system amplifies real mechanical frequencies and vibrations created by the motors and drivetrain. The aim is to give drivers feedback and emotional connection rather than artificial theatre.

Inside, the Luce mixes digital technology with physical controls. Ferrari deliberately avoided an overly touch-sensitive interior layout, bringing back tactile buttons and mechanical-feeling switchgear to maintain a driver-focused cockpit.

Fast Charging And Long-Distance Capability

The Ferrari Luce is built on an 800V electrical architecture and uses a 122 kWh battery pack. Ferrari estimates driving range at approximately 530 kilometres depending on configuration and driving conditions.

Thanks to 350 kW DC fast charging capability, the Luce can recover a significant amount of battery capacity in around 20 minutes under ideal conditions.

Ferrari also says many key components including battery management systems and software calibration were developed internally at Maranello.
